Experience the Victorian Era, Bristol – Style!
Nestled into the banks of the scenic Delaware River in historic Bristol Borough, The Grundy Museum was home to the Grundy family whose ancestors were among the first European settlers in Bucks County.
Today, the Grundy Museum allows a glimpse into the world of a wealthy, late Victorian-era family. The home appears as if the family has just stepped out for the afternoon.
Joseph Ridgway Grundy, a local industrialist, banker, farmer, newspaperman, and United States Senator, showed a lifelong commitment to his hometown of Bristol Borough. Upon his death, he directed that the family home be opened as a museum of local history. It is dedicated to the memory of his beloved sister, Margaret.
