Rebecca Hulme Grundy was the mother of William Hulme Grundy and paternal grandmother of Joseph Ridgway Grundy and Margaret Ridgway Grundy. The dresser in Mary Grundy’s Bedroom Suite features collections owned by Mary and Margaret Grundy. One of our favorite pieces is the mother of pearl Tiffany opera glasses with the original velvet case. This luxury item would have given Mary or Margaret a close-up view of the performance on stage.

We welcomed our guests in 2022 with new displays, exhibits, collaborations with local museums and historic sites and in person programming. The fall completion of our South Lawn Garden and Coach House restrooms was another highlight in the fall of 2022.  The year proved to be very busy, culminating with our Annual Victorian Holiday House.
